Ego vs. Apology

I actually think this quotation is one of the most idiotic "relationship goals" out there.

By definition, an apology take place when someone has done or said something wrong. Now, read that little quote. "Apologizing doesn't always mean you're wrong." Well, technically, it should. If you're in a relationship with someone who requires you to apologize when you haven't done or said anything wrong, that in itself sounds like a pretty serious "ego" problem - on their part.

A mature and rational adult, ready for a mutually respectful relationship, should be emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually equipped to handle and admit to the fact that they are wrong, or at the very least not right, in such a circumstance it is required. It's not up to you to apologize for nonexistent wrongdoings in order to "keep the peace". An individual who demands that you confess to doing wrong when you haven't sounds abusive and at the very least, borderline narcissistic.
